Description

Join us for 3 afternoons of art, fun and play! This camp is available for children ages 8-14.
Art-rageous camp is a magical adventure where you can expand your creative abilities, find your true calling, and have a great time doing it! Every ARTrageous Camp is a lively exchange of arts play, creativity activities, experiential learning with the horses, and spontaneous fun. ARTrageous Camp is an experience to revel in the creative process. This camp encourages wonder, experimentation and the pure joy of play.

Campers are invited to playshops, a 5 to 90-minute structured activity that reflects an art form, talent, interest, or passion. This is an opportunity to develop yourself, find or relocate your inner artist, become aware of your inner artist and how this brings you health and happiness. No experience is necessary, all experience is honored.

August 9-11 from 1-4 pm for ages 8-14 Cost: $145

What does a Donor have to do?

A donor needs to contact the Tix 4 Kids Coordinator with the number of tickets and opportunities available. The Coordinator then notifies the partner agencies and identifies recipients for the donated tickets. The Coordinator collects the tickets and distributes them to the partner agencies. To donate tickets and for more information, please contact Mary Gorfine at tix4kids@co.olmsted.mn.us or call 328-6005.

What does a Partner Agency have to do?

The Partner Agency appoints a staff member(s) to coordinate access in its agency. The Tix 4 Kids Coordinator will contact the designated individual with the event date, time, etc. Tickets are distributed by the Coordinator. The Agency is responsible for identifying children within the network and arranging for proper supervision. Chaperones may use donated tickets as well. Tickets are given out at the discretion of the staff member to children who have demonstrated improvement in academic achievement and/or attitude.

In 2009, there were over 2,000 community opportunities available through Tix 4 Kids in the areas of Theatre, Music, Educational enrichment and career exploration and recreation and sports. Over 1300 children participated.

Funding for 2009 was provided by a $15,000 grant from the Rochester Area Foundation. Tix 4 Kids is currently funded through April 2010.
